College Football Bowl Schedule: TCU, Louisiana Tech Battle In Poinsettia Bowl Wednesday Night On ESPN

So far the college football bowl season has not been kind to the bank accounts of those who have decided to follow my faulty advice. A bad pick in the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl on Tuesday pushed me to 0-4 this bowl season, but there are plenty of opportunities to pick winners. Starting tonight, with the 2011 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego. Here are Wednesday's particulars:

Teams: No. 16 TCU Horned Frogs (10-2, 7-0 in the Mountain West Conference) and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (8-4, 6-1 in the Western Athletic Conference)

Location: Snapdragon Stadium, a temporary name change to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California.

Time: 5 p.m.

TV: ESPN and ESPN3.com, with Joe Tessitore, Lou Holtz, Mark May and Samantha Steele on the call

Radio: ESPN Radio, with Bill Rosinski, David Norrie and Joe Schad on the call

Players to Watch: Quarterback Casey Pachall (24 touchdowns, six interceptions) leads a TCU offense that averaged nearly 42 points per game; wide receiver Quinton Patton caught 74 passes for 1,135 yards and 10 touchdowns for Louisiana Tech.

Point Spread: TCU is favored by 9.5 points, per Odds Shark.

The Pick: I'll take TCU and lay the points, with apologies to Horned Frogs fans everywhere.
