Long Beach State Vs. Eastern New Mexico: 49ers Improve To 4-0 At Home With 76-54 Win

The Long Beach St. 49ers hosted the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds on Saturday night and walked away with another win at The Pyramid in Long Beach. Following the 76-54 victory, Long Beach is now a perfect 4-0 at home and hold an overall record of 5-5.

The 49ers came roaring out to a 40-26 lead after the first half and never looked back.

Long Beach guard James Ennis was 5-for-9 on field goal attempts and led 49ers scorers with 15 points, also picking up four rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks. Guard Larry Anderson picked up 14 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Forward Eugene Phelps had 11 points and six rebounds.

Stefan Mirabal of Eastern NM led all scorers with 19 points.

Long Beach will play their next game on Thursday, December 22 as they travel to face the No. 15 Xavier Musketeers, a team that is suddenly surrounded by controversy following the brawl that erupted in the game against Cincinnati on December 10.
