The big story in NFL scheduling in week 15 was the Battle for Tim Tebow. CBS didn't protect Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots, as these lists were made before Tebow was made starter. NBC wanted to flex Broncos vs. Pats to Sunday Night Football, but CBS refused to let their big Tebow day go.
↵They gave up a Broncos' game two weeks ago so that Fox could have an attractive doubleheader, and then Fox had Tebow again last week as the Broncos hosted an NFC team. CBS wouldn't budge, and the NFL ruled in their favor. As a result, Sunday Night Football will remain San Diego Chargers vs. Baltimore Ravens. The Chargers were still 2,000 tickets short of a sellout at the beginning of the week, and didn't lift the blackout until 5:00 on Thursday; half an hour from the deadline.
↵The NFL broadcast TV slate in Los Angeles today will be as follows:
↵CBS: Early: Cincinnati Bengals @ St. Louis Rams
↵CBS: Late: New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos
↵Fox: Early: Washington Redskins @ New York Giants
↵NBC: Sunday Night Football: Baltimore Ravens @ San Diego Chargers
↵Bengals at Rams looks quite unattractive, but the other options are Titans at Colts or Dolphins at Bills. Fox in Bakersfield and Santa Barbara are going Detroit Lions @ Oakland Raiders, but Los Angeles is choosing to go with the Troy Aikman/Joe Buck America's Game of the Week.
