The newest college basketball rankings are out, and no Pac-12 teams are ranked. Shocker, shocker. However, one opponent for a local Los Angeles school is in a prominent position. The Xavier Musketeers are ranked eighth in the AP Poll and ninth in the Coaches Poll, and if they dispatch Oral Roberts at home, they should be well-equipped to stick in the top ten.
The Long Beach St. 49ers will have a stiff task on their hands in ten days when they face off with Xavier in Honolulu. However, Xavier could be shorthanded after their infamous brawl with Cincinnati this weekend. While Tu Holloway should be back after serving a one game suspension, Dez Wells and Landon Amos will be suspended four games, and guard Mark Lyons will be out two games. This could give Long Beach State an outside shot at an upset on the Hawaiian isle.
