NFL Schedule Week 14: Raiders vs. Packers, Broncos vs. Bears

Another NFL week during flex scheduling, another bit of intrigue. Those in Los Angeles will receive Oakland Raiders at Green Bay Packers on CBS late slot and Denver Broncos vs. Chicago Bears on Fox late. This was all decided before the San Diego Chargers failed to sell enough tickets to lift the local blackout.

Raiders at Packers is clearly the Game of the Week. The game was originally in the early slot, but the NFL moved it to a 1 pm PST start with both the Chargers and Bills waining. No surprise then that KCBS, traditionally a Charger secondary market, chose to go with the Raider game. Perhaps it was a psychic moment, as the Chargers are going to be blacked out locally. Pats at Redskins was the game CBS protected from flex scheduling, and was originally scheduled to broadcast in LA, but the game was switched to Chiefs vs. Jets.

Interestingly, CBS and Fox are allowed to protect five games from flex scheduling, and the Redskins game was protected four of the six weeks. The list was made back in week four, when the Redskins were 3-1. Things have gone a bit south since then.

Giants and Cowboys with the division on the line? No way NBC flexes that matchup.
