Loyola Marymount Defeats Idaho State In Overtime, 80-72

The Loyola Marymount Lions hosted the Idaho State Bengals on Saturday night and managed to pick up an 80-72 overtime win to improve to 6-4 on the season.

The Lions held a 38-35 lead after the first half, but Idaho State managed to tie the game at the end of regulation. Loyola Marymount was able to put things away handily in the overtime period, however, outscoring the Bengals 12-4 to finish the night.

Idaho State's Kenny McGowan led all scorers with 21 points, also picking up three assists.

The top performers for LMU were Jarred DuBois, who finished the game with 15 points, five assists and two rebounds; forward LaRon Armstead, who scored 14 points and picked up five rebounds and forward C.J. Blackwell, who managed a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Idaho State is now 0-5 on the road. Loyola Marymount will hit the road for their next game, as they play the Florida State Seminoles on Sunday, December 18.
