If Los Angeles is going to gain an NFL franchise it appears that it will not be the Jacksonville Jaguars. This morning it was announced that owner Wayne Weaver would sell the team to Shahid Khan. The main point in the deal, however, is that the team would remain in Jacksonville, thus negating a possible move to Los Angeles:
↵↵↵While Khan was in talks to buy the Rams, he stated that he planned to keep the team in St. Louis. Early reports about the sale of the Jaguars seem to indicate that the team will also be staying put.

That narrows the list of possible teams for the new Los Angeles Stadium even further. The Chargers, Vikings, Bills, and Raiders are also possible teams that could move, but nothing is definite. The Jaguars have struggled with attendance in Jacksonville for years, thus making them a prime candidate for relocation.
