76 Classic, St. Louis Vs. Oklahoma: Brian Conklin Leads Billikens To 83-63 Rout Of Sooners, Tournament Title

Brian Conklin scored 25 points to lead the St. Louis Billikens over the Oklahoma Sooners 83-63 on Sunday night in the tournament final of the 76 Classic at the Anaheim Convention Center. St. Louis shot a blistering 58.0% from the field, winning their third game in four days to capture the tournament title.

Conklin scored 52 points in the three-game tournament and was named the 76 Classic Most Outstanding Player.

Cody Ellis added 16 points for the Billikens, who improved to 6-0 on the season. Ellis made six of his eight field goal attempts, including four of five from beyond the arc. Kwamain Mitchell was the other St. Louis player in double figures with 10 points.

The Billikens took a 39-30 lead into the break, and pulled away in the second half for the 20-point final margin. St. Louis made nine of its 18 three-points attempts.

Oklahoma was held to 39.7% shooting (25 of 63) from the field. Cameron Clark and Romero Osby each scored 14 points to lead the Sooners. Head coach Lon Kruger was trying to win his second straight 76 Classic, having won the 2010 tournament as coach of the UNLV Runnin' Rebels.
