Week Three of the AP and ESPN/USA polls place two Pac-12 teams, the Cal Golden Bears and Arizona Wildcats, in the Top 25. The Washington Huskies, meanwhile, received votes in both polls and could make an appearance on the two lists in the coming weeks.
Cal ranks 20th on the AP Poll, up three spots from last week's placement of 23rd. The Golden Bears are 3-0 on the young season and will play the Georgia Bulldogs on Monday as they search for their fourth straight win. Cal made a similar jump in the ESPN/USA Poll, jumping from 22nd 19th for a three-spot improvement.
Arizona, meanwhile, dropped its last game to the Mississippi St. Bulldogs and fell to 4-1 this season. The Wildcats fell from 15th to 23rd in this week's AP Poll and from 16th to 23rd in this week's ESPN/USA Poll. Arizona faces a 5-1 San Diego St. Aztecs squad next on Wednesday.
The Huskies won their first three games of the season before dropping last week's match-up to the St. Louis Billikens. 3-1 Washington received 27 votes in the AP Poll and three in the ESPN/USA Poll, priming them for a chance to move up in the coming weeks should they emerge victorious against upcoming opponents Houston Baptist and Nevada.
