The UCLA Bruins are hoping to emerge from Saturday night's game against the Colorado Buffaloes with a win that would improve their record to 5-3 in Pac-12 play. Through the first half of play, they are well on their way to achieving that goal.
The Bruins came out with guns blazing, racking up 21 unanswered points in the first quarter on two Kevin Prince TD passes and a Johnathan Franklin touchdown run. Both teams were mostly quiet in the second quarter, however. The Buffaloes scored an early touchdown pass from Tyler Hansen to Toney Clemons, but Will Oliver missed the extra point. The Buffaloes made a drive in the closing moments of the first half, but headed into the locker room at halftime with the score still 21-6 in favor of the Bruins.
UCLA will need to keep up the offensive assault they displayed in the first quarter and continue to contain Colorado as well as they have so far. The Buffaloes have been held to only 117 total yards.
