NFL TV Schedule, Week 6 - Los Angeles Edition

Let's take a look at the NFL broadcast TV schedule (via the506.com) for week 6 in Los Angeles, which is a doubleheader weekend for Fox. It's a bye week for the San Diego Chargers, which opens up the CBS schedule. KCBS has picked up Oakland Raider games their last two doubleheader days, and even lifted contractual obligations to show the end of the Raider game last Sunday after Al Davis died. However, CBS opted not to pick up the Raider game this week.

CBS: Early: Buffalo Bills @ New York Giants

↵

Raider fans in Los Angeles won't get to hear the Raider game called by the quarterback that won the team their last Super Bowl, Rich Gannon (unless they have DirecTV, of course).

↵

FOX: Early: San Francisco 49ers @ Detroit Lions

↵

Fox originally announced LA and Las Vegas would get the Eagles at Redskins, while the rest of the West Coast and Mountain states got 49ers @ Detroit. KTTV must have gotten a slew of angry phone calls.

↵

FOX: Late: Game of the Week: Dallas @ New England

↵

The opportunity to show ratings juggernaut Dallas Cowboys at ratings giant New England Patriots is just too good. You can count the local affiliates showing New Orleans @ Tampa Bay on your fingers, and unless the Bucs sell more tickets, that won't include central Florida.
