Saturday's Pac-12 college football schedule is relatively light, with the USC Trojans having already beaten the California Golden Bears on Thursday night and both the UCLA Bruins and Arizona Wildcats having today off in anticipation of next Thursday's battle in Tucson. But what we have is a possible preview of the first Pac-12 Conference Championship Game in Eugene, with the No. 9 Oregon Ducks hosting the No. 18 Arizona State Sun Devils.
ASU is 3-0 in conference play so far, and their main challengers so far in the Pac-12 South are USC (2-1), who is ineligible for postseason play, and UCLA (2-1), who will need to improve their level of play if they hope to sniff a winning record, let alone a division title. Oregon is 2-0 in conference play and still has to contend with undefeated Stanford, and their November 12 battle in Palo Alto will likely decide the Pac-12 North winner.
Here is Saturday's full Pac-12 schedule:
9 a.m. - Utah at Pittsburgh (ESPNU): The Utes trail in Pittsburgh early in the third quarter 14-13.
12:30 p.m. - Colorado at Washington (FCS Atlantic): The Huskies, at 2-0, are one of four Pac-12 teams undefeated in conference play. Washington is also 3-0 at home this season.
1 p.m. - BYU at Oregon State (FCS Pacific)
4:30 p.m. - No. 7 Stanford at Washington State (Versus): Andrew Luck and The Cardinal look for their 14th straight victory, the longest winning streak in the nation.
7:15 p.m. - No. 18 Arizona State at No. 9 Oregon (ESPN): The Sun Devils have lost 15 straight games against top 10 teams. Their last such win came against No. 6 Oregon, in Eugene, in 2002.
