Clippers Look For Ninth Straight Home Win, Hosting Bucks At Staples Center

New, 1 comment

The Los Angeles Clippers look to extend their home winning streak to nine games, as they host the Milwaukee Bucks at Staples Center. The current eight-game streak tied a franchise record for when the Clippers have been in Los Angeles, matching the 1992-1993 club that went to the playoffs. The franchise record for consecutive home wins is 11, set in 1979 when they were in San Diego:

Longest Home Winning Streaks, Franchise History
Team Streak Season
San Diego Clippers 11 1978-1979
Buffalo Braves 10 1975-1976
Buffalo Braves 9 1974-1975
LA Clippers 8 2010-2011
LA Clippers 8 1992-1993

Milwaukee comes to town having won three straight games, and five of their last seven. They are 19-26, which has them a half game out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, behind the Charlotte Bobcats, whom the Clippers handled easily on Saturday night. The Clippers have won 13 of their last 19 games against the Bucks.

With Eric Gordon out, Randy Foye has filled in nicely in the starting lineup the last three games. Over those three contests, Foye has averaged 18.7 points while shooting 40% from three-point range. The Bucks are looking for their second win at Staples Center this season, as they drubbed the Lakers 98-79 on December 21.
