UCLA Heads To Corvallis To Battle Beavers

The UCLA Bruins look to get back on track tonight in Corvallis, Oregon, battling the Oregon State Beavers at Gill Coliseum. The Bruins have defeated the Beavers 11 straight times, by an average of 22.4 points per game, including winning their last five in Corvallis. UCLA has lost two straight games after a six-game winning streak.

UCLA guard Lazeric Jones has a ruptured tendon in the middle finger of his right hand, which was injured in the loss to Washington on December 31. Jones started and played 22 minutes against the Trojans, but he has missed all 10 field goal attempts in his last two games. Jones on the season is shooting 39.6% from three-point range.

Oregon State opened conference play with two home wins against the Arizona schools, but suffered two losses on the road to Washington and Washington State last weekend. Guard Jared Cunningham leads the Beavers with 14.6 points and 3.1 steals per contest this season. Omari Johnson leads the Beavers with 6.5 rebounds per game, a number eclipsed by three Bruins (Reeves Nelson, Tyler Honeycutt, and Joshua Smith).

UCLA is 8-1 when they lead at halftime this season, and 1-5 when they don't. Tonight's 5:30 p.m. PST game will be televised on Prime Ticket, with Bill Macdonald, Don MacLean, and Courtney Jones on the call.
