Monday TV Schedule: 2011 BCS Championship Game, All Eyes On Auburn Vs. Oregon

The final day of the college football season is upon us, as the BCS National Championship Game dominates tonight's television action. The seemingly endless college bowl season sees its conclusion tonight in Glendale, Arizona, as the high-powered offenses of Oregon and Auburn will do battle in the desert to determine college football's champion. After the final Monday night football game for roughly seven months, there is one other local sporting event of interest, but I have a feeling many will join that game in progress.

Here is a look at tonight's television schedule:

5:30 p.m.: BCS National Championship Game, Oregon Ducks vs. Auburn Tigers (ESPN)

Pac-10 fans should be rooting for Oregon tonight, if only to burst the myth of SEC infallibility. Also, USC fans have to wonder why they didn't think of the "I have no knowledge of what my dad did" defense in the Reggie Bush fiasco, as it seems to have worked, so far, for Cam Newton.

7:30 p.m.: Toronto Maple Leafs at Los Angeles Kings (Fox Sports West)

The Kings snapped their five-game losing streak on Saturday night, on the same day they finalized a seven-year contract extension with defenseman Jack Johnson. They look to continue those winning ways tonight against Toronto at Staples Center.
