The Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Field Is A Joke

No, this isn't about the Raiders or Al Davis, as it seems there has been considerably less craziness coming from Oakland's football team of late. However, the stadium he plays in, Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, is ridiculous. You see, the A's also play there, and tonight Oakland opens a three-game series with the Halos, one night after the Raiders played a preseason game. Angels' broadcaster Victor Rojas tweeted this photo earlier tonight of the field before the game:

As if the football yard markers weren't aesthetically bad enough, center field looks like a swamp. In fact, field conditions are so bad in Oakland, it has affected the Angels, per LAAngelsInsider.com:

Joel Pineiro will not be able to throw simulated game in Oakland because of field conditions.

At some point, a field like this has to be considered unplayable. I just hope nobody gets hurt because of it.
