Before the game tonight, the Dodgers activated starting pitcher Vicente Padilla from the disabled list, per Jimmy Bramlett of LAist.
Padilla was placed on the 15-day disabled list a few days after his last start, on August 15 in Atlanta, in which he allowed a season high eight runs in 4 1/3 innings. Padilla had a bulging disc in his neck. He pitched three scoreless innings in a rehab assignment on Monday with the Dodgers’ Class A affiliate in San Bernardino. He was hit by a line drive in that game, but showed no ill effects.
Padilla is tentatively slated to start Monday night at Petco Park as the Dodgers open a series with the Padres.
