Now that the Anaheim Ducks have completed their three days of preseason training camp, they are ready to start actual preseason games, per Matt Vevoda of AnaheimDucks.com:
↵↵↵“We always call the third day of training camp ‘The Hump Day’,” Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle said. “There are lots of people who are sore and lots of muscles are at the fatigue point. The third day is usually the day that those things become more prevalent and guys get a little grouchy playing against one another. They are ready to start playing some games.”

Today, center Ryan Getzlaf was ready to play games, challenging and defeating several centers to face-off challenges, then celebrating, as captured by Arthur Javier of Anaheim Calling:
↵↵
Javier summed up today's scrimmages at Anaheim Calling quite nicely:
↵↵↵For the players fighting for a spot on the Ducks' roster, every second on the ice is beginning to count. And for those whose spots are safely secured, they're probably getting a little tired of playing against the same hungry players over and over again. Carter and Sexton will both be in the lineup for the Ducks' pre-season game tomorrow.

The Ducks host the Phoenix Coyotes Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Honda Center.
