Anaheim Ducks Sign Left Winger Beleskey To Two-Year Extension

The Anaheim Ducks today have announced they have come to terms with left winger Matt Beleskey on a two-year contract extension, through 2013. The contract is worth $1.475 million total per Curtis Zupke of the Orange County Register:

Ducks sign Matt Beleskey to two-year extension worth $625,000 in 2011-12 and $850,000 in 2012-13.

Per the Ducks:

Among NHL rookies, Beleskey ranked tied for 10th in goals, tied for third in game-winning goals (3), seventh in hits (94) and 10th in shots (123). He also finished sixth among team leaders in goal scoring and tied for fourth in game-winners.

Beleskey was drafted in the fourth round in 2006 by the Ducks, and he scored 11 goals in 60 games last year, his first full season with the club.
