Dodgers Option Ramon Troncoso To Triple A; Belisario Back?

The Dodgers might have a new addition to their bullpen for their upcoming road trip, per Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times:

Ramon Troncoso optioned to triple-A. Clears the way for the activation of Ronald Belisario, who is traveling with #Dodgers to Philadelphia.

Optioning Troncoso leaves the Dodgers with an open spot on their active roster, one that will surely be filled by another reliver.

Belisario has been on the restricted list since July 7 for undisclosed personal reasons. He pitched in two games over the weekend for Class A Inland Empire on a rehabilitation assignment, and appears physically ready to rejoin the team. Whether he is cleared to play is in question, however.

Players can be on the restricted list for up to 30 days, and Belisario’s 30 days were up on Friday. On Sunday, manager Joe Torre would not say specifically when Belisario would return to the Dodgers, saying only, “As soon as I’m told he is available, you will see him at some point in the near future.”
