Galaxy Win 2-1, But Lose On Aggregate

The Los Angeles Galaxy went down to Puerto Rico and netted two away goals, one on an Islander own goal and a second on Sean Franklin’s first MLS goal. It was enough to take the match, 2 – 1, but not enough to take the series, as Puerto Rico already had 4 away goals in their pocket and took the seres on aggregate, 5 – 3.

The Galaxy made a push toward going through, dominating the possession in the second half, but Puerto Rico was stubborn in the first half, not letting the Galaxy get started, though the Galaxy pushed hard, with a slew of yellow cards to start the game.

The Galaxy return home for the Real Madrid friendly Saturday, after which Donovan and Buddle will get on a plane headed to New York for the USMNT friendly against Brazil.
