Landon Donovan and Edson Buddle of the Galaxy have been chosen as part of an 18 man squad team set to face off against Brazil in New Jersey on Tuesday, August 10th. Both players remain available for Saturday’s friendly against Real Madrid, although it’s unlikely they’ll see much playing time given tonights match, and the fact that they’ll be on a plane for New York on Sunday.
The game against Brazil shall be shown on ESPN2, and is the first meeting between these two countries since the 2009 Confederations Cup final in South Africa, when the US jumped out to an early two goal lead, only to fall 3-2.
