Both the Dodgers and Angels were shutout Friday night, the first time they were shutout on the same night since May 10, 2008. They collected a grand total of seven hits.
↵Even worse, they combined to send one runner to third base. The Angels best rally came in the third inning, when they strung together back-to-back hit batsmen, not exactly the recipe for offensive success. The Dodgers only put one runner on second base, and that was in the first inning. Naturally, Scott Podsednik was stranded.
↵So tonight, while it would be nice to score a run or two, let’s have the Angels and Dodgers set their sights lower, and just get to third base first.
