Sunday’s roster activity involved Scott Kazmir being placed on the disabled list, retroactive to June 11, with a strained left shoulder, Maicer Izturis getting activated from the disabled list, and Paul McAnulty being designated for assignment.
The Angels continued with roster moves today, activating pitchers Sean O’Sullivan and Trevor Bell from Triple A Salt Lake. The Angels current roster shows 26 players, one more than the active limit, meaning another move will have to be made before tonight’s game in New York. Per the Orange County Register:
The Angels will have to make another roster move before tonight’s game to clear a second roster spot (outfielder Cory Aldridge is the most likely candidate to get shipped out) and return to a 12-man pitching staff. Or one could start tonight (O’Sullivan) then be returned to Triple-A and replaced on the roster by the other (Bell).
