To make room for the return of Manny Ramirez, who was activated from the disabled list for tonight’s game, the Dodgers have placed Reed Johnson on the 15-day disabled list, per Tony Jackson of ESPN Los Angeles:
To clear a roster spot, the Dodgers placed reserve outfielder Reed Johnson on the 15-day disabled list with the same back injury that rendered him unavailable for the final three games of the first half.
The Dodgers have classified the injury to Johnson as a lumbar strain.
Johnson will be eligible to return from the disabled list on July 24, when the Dodgers host the Mets.
