The Lakers have made a contract offer to forward Mike Miller, who spent last season with the Washington Wizards. Per Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports, via Twitter:
Source told FOXSports.com that Mike Miller has already met with the Lakers, Knicks and Heat out in L.A. Lakers offered 5 years, $30 million.
The Lakers have a mid-level exception this offseason, which is worth $5.8 million during the first year of the contract.
Miller, 30, shot 50.1% from the field and 48.0% from three-point range in 2009-2010, the latter a career high. For his career, Miller is a 46.4% shooter, including 40.5% from three-point range. The Lakers were 23rd in the NBA last season in three-point field goal percentage, hitting 34.1% of their shots from beyond the arc. Miller has averaged over six rebounds per game in each of the past three seasons.
Miller was a teammate of Pau Gasol in Memphis from 2003 to 2008.
