Manny Ramirez Has Inflamation In Hamstring, Is Day To Day

New, 1 comment

Manny Ramirez, who injured his right hamstring Tuesday night in San Francisco against the Giants, had an MRI today in Arizona. The Dodgers reported the news, or lack of news, via Twitter:

Manny was improved today. MRI showed some inflamation and we'll see how he progresses tomorrow before determining the next step.

If Ramirez is placed on the disabled list, his likely replacement would be Xavier Paul, who has had two stints with the Dodgers this season, and is currently in Triple A. Paul was not in tonight's lineup in Albuquerque. However, a stint on the disabled list for Ramirez might not happen. Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times reported via Twitter:

Source tells me that Manny is "unlikely" to go on the disabled list.

The Dodgers open a three-game series in Arizona Friday night.
