UCLA Loses To TCU, Will Play Tomorrow For Berth In College World Series Final

UCLA lost their first game of the College World Series, dropping a contest 6-2 to TCU, forcing one more game with the Horned Frogs on Saturday for a berth in the three-game championship series.  Matt Purke of TCU won his 16th game of the season, without a loss, by allowing two runs over 6 1/3 innings.

Taylor Featherston broke open a 3-2 game with a two-run home run in the seventh inning off of UCLA reliever Garrett Claypool to put the game out of reach.  Bruins' starter Rob Rassmusen took the loss, allowing three runs in 4 1/3 innings of work.

UCLA will play TCU again tomorrow in an elimination game, for a right to play in the three-game final, beginning Monday.  Tomorrow's game between UCLA and TCU will either be played at 11am or 4pm, depending on the outcome of the game between South Carolina and Clemson.  If Clemson wins tonight, the Bruins play tomorrow at 4pm; if South Carolina emerges victorious, UCLA will play TCU at 11am.
