NFL Playoff Picture, Week 13: AFC North Battle Highlights Sunday's Action

Week 13 of the NFL season is upon us, and the playoff picture is becoming more clear. After 11 games, many of the likely playoff suitors have separated themselves from the also-rans, and a few of those potential playoff teams are on display on Sunday. Today's television schedule is highlighted by a battle for supremacy in the AFC North, as the Baltimore Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers. Here is today's television schedule in Los Angeles:

↵

10 a.m.: Washington Redskins at New York Giants (Fox)

↵

The 7-4 Giants need a win at home to keep pace with the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC East division lead, and are also fighting with the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints for the two NFC wild card spots.

↵

1 p.m.: Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers (CBS)

↵

The surging Chargers seek their fifth straight win and a measure of revenge against the fading Raiders, who beat San Diego when the two tangled in Oakland earlier this season.

↵

1 p.m.: Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts (Fox)

↵

Before the season, this looked like a marquee matchup, if not a Super Bowl preview, but if the season ended today both teams would miss the playoffs. The Colts still have a chance to make it, however, but they need wins, starting today.

↵

5:15 p.m.: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens (NBC)

↵

This battle of 8-3 teams is the best game of Sunday, and rightfully gets prime time treatment on NBC. The winner of this game has the inside track at the AFC North division title and a potential bye week in the playoffs. Baltimore won their first meeting, in Pittsburgh, but the Steelers were without Ben Roethlisberger at the time.
