Last week's Pac-10 football picks worked so well (I was 0-4-1), I feel compelled to make some picks again this week. Call it an example of how not to invest your money if you will. Today's Pac-10 schedule features road tests for the top two teams in the conference, and a marquee matchup tonight in Tucson. Here are my picks for today's conference games, with the lines courtesy of Bodog:
↵Washington State (+24) over Oregon State (1 p.m., Fox Sports Regional)
↵The Cougars are 0-7 in Pac-10 play and have lost their seven conference games by an average of 20.6 points. However, 24 is simply too many points to pass up. Expect Oregon State to win easily, just not by 25 or more.
↵Oregon (-20½) over California (4:30 p.m., Versus)
↵Cal is undefeated at home, but Oregon is undefeated everywhere. Cal is to schizophrenic for my tastes, so look for the Ducks to put up points like they always do (42 or more in every game).
↵Stanford (-5) over Airzona State (4:30 p.m., Fox Sports Regional)
Look for Stanford to inch closer to a BCS bowl bid with a road win over the Sun Devils
↵USC (+4½) over Arizona (5 p.m., ABC)
↵The Trojans may very well lose, but look for this to be a close game in the final minute, as just about every non-Oregon USC game has been against the Pac-10.
