Clippers Look For First Win Of Season, Host Spurs At Staples Center

The Los Angeles Clippers look to get their first win of the season, but face a tough foe as the San Antonio Spurs come to Staples Center. The Clippers will try to snap their 16-game losing streak against San Antonio, the longest streak by one team over another in the NBA. The Clippers' last win over the Spurs came on March 7, 2006, a 98-85 win at Staples Center.

This is the second game of a back-to-back for the Clippers, who lost 99-83 to the Dallas Mavericks yesterday afternoon. The Clippers play 22 sets of back-to-back games this season.

Both Blake Griffin and Chris Kaman are averaging double-doubles in the early going. Griffin leads all NBA rookies in rebounds, averaging 11.0 per game, and is second among league rookies with 16.7 points per game. Kaman is averaging 11.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game through the season's first three games.

The Spurs split a pair of home games last week. Tonight is their first road game of the season.
