The Anaheim Ducks have announced their opening roster, heading into their game Friday night in Detroit against the Red Wings.Included on that roster is 18-year old Cam Fowler, their top pick, 12th overall in this year's NHL draft.

Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times has the injury news:
They placed forwards Joffrey Lupul (blood infection) and Jason Jaffray (knee) on the injured reserve list and designated defenseman Toni Lydman (double vision) as an injured non-roster player.
A club spokesman said Lydman accompanied the team on its trip to Detroit, Nashville and St. Louis so he might be getting closer to being able to play.
The Ducks open their season Friday night in Detroit. After three straight road games to start the year, the Ducks have their home opener on Wednesday, October 13 against the Vancouver Canucks.
