“I want to play as long as my legs can take me,” he said. “I know it sounds a cliche, but I love playing soccer, I love playing the game, it’s my passion. When I stop enjoying it then I’ll know I need to stop.”

Beckham’s five year contract is worth $32.5 million dollars. It’s taken four years with the LA Galaxy to bring home a trophy (the Supporter’s Shield), although they did make the Cup Final last season. After a well documented rough start (a book was written about it) Landon Donovan and David Beckham have managed to institute a winning tradition in Los Angeles once again.
