The Los Angeles Lakers end their preseason tonight, as they face the Golden State Warriors at Citizens Business Bank in Ontario. The Lakers this preseason will have played in London, Barcelona, Las Vegas, Anaheim, San Diego, and Ontario. The Lakers will end up wearing the home gold uniforms in all eight games, even though they have played only two games at Staples Center.
The Lakers defeated the Warriors 120-99 last night in San Diego, and are 14-10 in preseason games against the Warriors, dating back to 1982. The Lakers have won the last nine regular season contests against Golden State, dating back to 2008.
Both teams are 3-4 this preseason. Last night's game in San Diego was a close affair late in the third quarter, but the Lakers stretched to a 10-point lead at the end of the third quarter. Then, they opened the fourth quarter with a 28-10 run to put the game away.
Kobe Bryant missed last night's game as a precaution, so he wouldn't play in back-to-back nights in the preseason while recovering from right knee surgery. Bryant will play in tonight's preseason finale.
Luke Walton played his first preseason game last night after sitting with a strained right hamstring. He played 11 minutes, and had five points and two assists. Sasha Vujacic, who missed three games with a concussion, played 15 minutes last night and scored nine points on 4-of-5 shooting.
Stephen Curry sprained his right ankle in Thursday's game, and is listed as day-to-day.
Tonight's 7 p.m. PDT game will be televised on KCAL and ESPN.
