The Los Angeles Lakers keep their "home game" preseason tour going tonight, as they face the Golden State Warriors at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego. In addition to tonight's game at the formerly-named San Diego Sports Arena, the Lakers will end up playing all eight exhibition games in their home gold uniforms, even though only two of the games were at Staples Center. This preseason has taken the Lakers to London, Barcelona, Las Vegas, Anaheim, San Diego, and will conclude tomorrow night in Ontario.
The Lakers are 11-7 all-time in the preseason in San Diego, at least for games for which records are kept, dating back to 1968. Dating back to 1982, the Lakers are 13-10 in preseason games against the Warriors. The Lakers have won the last nine regular season contests against Golden State, dating back to 2008.
The Lakers are 2-4 this season, but never fear, as they have been .500 or worse in seven of Phil Jackson's 10 seasons in Los Angeles. In the preseason, Jackson's Lakers are 44-41. Sasha Vujacic, who has missed three straight games with a concussion, is expected to play tonight, per Mike Trudell of Lakers.com. Kobe Bryant, however, might miss tonight's game, still recovering from right knee surgery.
The Warriors on Wednesday waived guard Aaron Miles, paring their roster down to 15 players.
Tonight's 7 p.m. PDT game will be televised on KCAL.
