As we head into week six of the NFL, there are a number of good matchups. Here is the television schedule for the greater Los Angeles area:
↵10 a.m.: San Diego Chargers at St. Louis Rams (CBS)
↵San Diego, who endured several disasters on special teams in last week's loss to the Raiders, looks to get up off the mat, at 2-3, heading to St. Louis to face the Rams.
↵10 a.m.: Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles (Fox)
↵This would be a much bigger story if (a) Michael Vick was healthy; and (b) if the game was in Atlanta, Vick's old stomping ground. Instead, this is a game between one sure-fire NFC playoff team...and the Eagles.
↵1 p.m.: Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings (Fox)
↵Both teams have been huge disappointments, and both sit at 1-3 heading into a matchup of the two most overrated teams in the NFL. The best part of this game is that, barring a tie, one of the teams will be 1-4, making their playoff odds nearly insurmountable.
↵5 p.m.: Indianapolis Colts at Washington Redskins (NBC)
↵The Colts are second in the NFL in points per game, sitting at 3-2 like every other team in the AFC South. The Redskins have won two straight, and are one of three teams atop the NFC East at 3-2.
↵The NBC night game will go head-to-head with Game 2 of the NLCS. I'll be watching baseball, but I doubt the ratings will show more people watching the MLB than NFL Sunday night.
