College Football Rankings, Week 7: USC & UCLA Both Nowhere To Be Found

New, 1 comment

After an unproductive pair of trips to the Bay Area this weekend, both the USC Trojans and UCLA Bruins have dropped completely out of both college football polls.

USC, which lost for the second straight week on a last-second field goal, this time to the Stanford Cardinal, 37-35, was ranked 28th last week, in the "others receiving votes" section of the AP poll. This week, the Trojans (4-2, 1-2) didn't receive a single vote. They are ineligible this season for the USA Today coaches poll.

UCLA, which was drubbed 35-7 by the California Golden Bears, also didn't receive votes in either poll. Last week, the Bruins were 33rd and 37th in the AP and coaches polls, respectively. The Bruins (3-3, 1-2) have yet to crack the top 25 this season in either poll.

USC battles Cal next week, while UCLA has a bye as it prepares for the No. 2 Oregon Ducks.
