Tonight at the Honda Center, the Anaheim Ducks are taking on the Vancouver Canucks in NHL preseason action. Before the game today, the Ducks assigned defensemen Brett Festerling and Danny Syvret to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL, after both cleared waivers this morning.
Anaheim now has 28 players in preseason camp.
Earl Sleek of Battle of California offered his take on the Ducks' preseason so far, and is concerned about the shots on goal:
Last year, through five preseason games, the Ducks were cumulatively outshot 180-122 and outscored 14-10. This year through five games the Ducks have been outshot 191-117 and outscored 22-15. Outshot worse than last year, outscored worse than last year -- if it weren't for shitty Finnish goaltending, the Ducks might have no preseason wins at all.
Tonight's starting lineup for the Ducks:
Defense: Lubomir Visnovsky, Andy Sutton
Left Wing: Matt Beleskey
Center: Ryan Getzlaf
Right Wing: Corey Perry
Goalie: Jonas Hiller
