The USC Trojans moved up to No. 2 in the first regular season college football USA Today Coaches' Poll of the season after defeating Hawaii, 49-10, on Saturday.
The Trojans were part of some maneuvering at the top of the poll with former No. 2 Alabama taking over the top spot after dismantling former No. 8 Michigan, 41-14. The LSU Tigers came into Saturday ranked No. 1 in the poll but fell to No. 3 after beating North Texas, 41-14.
The Trojans are now ranked No. 2 in the country in both the AP and Coaches polls.
Alabama received 37 first-place votes with USC (14), LSU (7) and Oregon (1) also receiving votes.
Fellow Pac-12 member, Oregon, moved up to No. 4 in place of the Oklahoma Sooners after the Ducks blew out Arkansas State, 57-34, on Saturday.
The Trojans next game is against Syracuse on September 8 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
