USC Trojans Hire Tee Martin As Wide Receivers Coach

Stay connected for news and updates

Matt Barkley was happy to break some news tonight. The USC Trojans have a new wide receivers coach.

Martin is probably best known for being the national championship quarterback of the 1998 Tennessee Volunteers squad. In the past two years he's been on the coaching staff of the Kentucky Wildcats as receivers coach, where he also served as passing game coordinator in 2011. Martin will arrive in Los Angeles in Friday.

If you thought the USC receivers were fierce before, look out now. Robert Woods, Marqise Lee, George Farmer and Nelson Agholor all being on the same team gives the Trojans perhaps the most talented receiver corps for Matt Barkley to throw to. USC should have one of the most potent offenses in the country in 2012, and Martin should help keep them at the top of their game.

Martin apparently didn't have kind words to say about Lane Kiffin's departure from Tennessee as a Vol, but it's hard to turn down a job at Heritage Hall.

To discuss Martin's hiring with USC football fans, head on over to Conquest Chronicles.
