Sun Bowl odds: USC now favored by 10 over Georgia Tech

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-US PRESSWIRE

After opening as a 9-1/2-point favorite, USC has moved to a 10-point Sun Bowl favorite.

The USC Trojans are now a 10-point favorite over Georgia Tech in the Sun Bowl, according to the latest odds from OddsShark.

The Trojans opened as a 9-1/2-point favorite but the line has since shifted slightly more in their favor. While USC finished the regular season with a 7-5 record, the Trojans went just 3-9 against the spread this season. That includes just a 1-4 record against the spread in their last five games. USC was favored in 10 of its 12 games this season. The only games the Trojans entered as the underdog were against Oregon and Notre Dame.

While USC struggled to cover the spread this season, the Yellow Jackets went 8-5 against the spread. Georgia Tech finished the season well, going 4-1 against the spread in its final five games. If the current betting line holds, the Sun Bowl will be the third straight game Georgia Tech is a double-digit underdog. Georgia Tech went 2-2 against the spread as an underdog this season.

USC is 7-1 against the spread in their last eight bowl appearances.
