USC Trojans tight end Randall Telfer has been named Pac-12 special teams player of the week, according to the conference.

The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. product blocked a potential game-tying 48-yard field goal attempt that gave USC the momentum that carried them to a 38-28 victory over the Utah Utes. He blocked a second attempt just before halftime following a 56-yard drive. In addition to the stellar play on special teams, he made an outstanding 23-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter from quarterback Matt Barkley.

Stanford quarterback Josh Nunes was awarded offensive player of the week honors, while defensive back Kameron Jackson of California earned defensive honors for the week.

USC will next take on the University of Washington Huskies on the road.
