USC vs. Washington: Kiffin preparing for a loud crowd in Seattle

The Huskies are undefeated at home and the USC Trojans are traveling to Seattle in search of their third straight win.

The No. 11 USC Trojans are looking to win their third straight game as they had to a very hostile CenturyLink Field in Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies on Saturday.

The Trojans (4-1) are favored by 13-points over the Huskies, but head coach Lane Kiffin isn't looking past the Huskies, who are coming off of a 52-21 loss to the No. 2 Oregon Ducks.

In a Q & A on the USC Trojans' blog, Kiffin acknowledges how raucous the Huskies home crowd can be and the home advantage the Huskies enjoy. He expects it to be even louder now that Washington is playing in CenturyLink Field while Husky Stadium gets upgraded this year. The Huskies are 3-0 at home this year.

Kiffin on the Huskies' home field advantage:

They've been that way for years. A lot of that has to do with their home field advantage. Their crowd is regardless of which stadium they are in. Now they are in an even louder stadium than their normal Husky Stadium. We are going to have our hands full.

Although the Huskies were blown out in losses against the Ducks and the LSU Tigers, the Huskies have held their opponents below 14 points in all three wins - highlighted by a 17-13 victory over the Stanford Cardinal.

Kiffin had praise for the Husky defense, saying that the team uses a lot of talented players in a lot of ways each game.

They play a lot of different players with different ideas about what they are going to do with those guys, and they seem to change each week by who they are playing.

It is a friendly rivalry for the two schools, and Huskies head coach Steve Sarkisian (who left USC for Washington in 2009) tried to get under the skin of Kiffin in a more sportsmanlike way than normally seen in heated matches.
