The USC Trojans are considering changes at the cornerback position with their defense struggling.
As the team flew back to SoCal, reports are that star wide receiver Marqise Lee asked head coach Lane Kiffin if he could play cornerback moving forward.
Here is the latest from USC:
Lane Kiffin said Marqise Lee tried to convince him on flight home he could play corner and still not miss any snaps on O— Pedro Moura (@PedroMoura) October 6, 2012
Pedro Moura also tweeted the Trojans could try out Josh Shaw at cornerback this week. Shaw originally committed to Florida and played last season with the Gators, but he elected to transfer over the summer and received a hardship waiver to play immediately.
Through five games this season, USC is allowing an average of 19.4 points to their opponents, which ranks 31st in college football.
