Senior center apologizes both in private in the locker room and publicly on Twitter.

USC center Khaled Holmes has apologized to teammates for his two bad snaps against the Utah Utes, both of which led to touchdowns and forced the Trojans to fight back from an early 14-point deficit.

The senior captain apologized both in private in USC's locker room and publicly on Twitter.

"Sorry for giving everyone that scare early on! Gotta love this team for hanging tough, especially in that environment! #FightOn," Holmes tweeted after the 38-28 win.

Holmes, who has started at USC for three years, is a candidate for Rimington Trophy, which goes to the best center in the country, this season. The two bad snaps were uncharacteristic based on his body of work as a starter.

Quarterback Matt Barkley was supportive of Holmes after the loss, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

"I was not angry at Khaled,'' Barkley told the Daily News. "He's my best friend.''

Here is Holmes' first bad snap, which came on the very first play of the game.
