USC vs. Colorado score: Trojans lead 40-6 after 3rd quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

The USC Trojans ended the third quarter of play at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum leading their Pac-12 conference foes the Colorado Buffaloes 40-6.

As the game turns into a complete rout, the Trojans were able to score one more touchdown through the air in the third quarter. Quarterback Matt Barkley continued to enjoy a career game. This time Barkley found wide receiver Robert Woods for three yards and the score, giving the junior his fourth touchdown reception of the game.

The Trojans' stout defense also continued their dominance over the Buffaloes offense, holding the team scoreless in the third quarter after allowing just two field goals in the first half.

While the Buffaloes offense has spread the ball around to 10 different receivers, the Trojans defense has made life difficult for Buffaloes quarterback Jordan Webb, who has thrown two interceptions on the day and struggled to move the ball down the field.
