USC DE Morgan Breslin leads quietly

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

USC defensive end Morgan Breslin doesn't talk much -- all he does is go out and put up outstanding numbers and work hard.

USC defensive end Morgan Breslin is fifth in the nation with 9.5 tackles-for-loss and seventh with 5.5 sacks, but you won't hear him tell anyone in the media about it.

The 6 ft. 2, 250 lb. transfer from Northern California brings with him a tireless work ethic and a selfless, team-first attitude coupled with humility. According to the Los Angeles Times, he's declined all interview requests and only responds with the words "no comment" when asked about his individual or team success.

"We don't hear him talk," said head coach Lane Kiffin. "All he ever says is 'Fight on.'"

The Trojans had a major void to fill at the position after losing star Nick Perry to the NFL after he was drafted in the first round by the Green Bay Packers. Perry led the Trojans a season ago with 9.5 sacks, and the team did not expect to replace those numbers so quickly, but Breslin has delivered.
