USC Beats Arizona State, 62-46, Wins Big On Senior Day

The USC Trojans ended their home schedule in style, soundly beating the Arizona State Sun Devils 62-46 at Galen Center, winning their fourth straight. USC ended their season 12-4 at home, and swept the season series with Arizona State. Nikola Vucevic lead the Trojans with 20 points and 10 rebounds, his Pac-10 leading 18th double-double on the season.

USC held the Sun Devils to 30.6% shooting (15 for 49) on the night, the second-best shooting defense by the Trojans this season. On January 20, USC held Stanford to 22.2% shooting (14 for 63), the lowest mark in over 30 years. USC improved its record to 12-0 on the season when holding an opponent under 60 points.

The Trojans led 38-18 at halftime. Senior forward Alex Stepheson also had a double-double on Senior Day, with 15 points and 10 rebounds, his 10th double-double of the season. Trent Lockett and Keala King each scored 14 points for Arizona State. The Trojans travel to the Washington schools next weekend, beginning with Thursday night's contest against Washington State.

USC Ends Home Schedule Against Arizona State At Galen Center

The USC Trojans look to close out their home schedule on a good note, with a battle against the Arizona State Sun Devils at Galen Center. Fresh off their upset win over No. 10 Arizona Thursday, the Trojans will try to win their fourth straight game. USC beat Arizona State in Tempe, 63-61 on January 27.

As this is the final game at Galen Center this season, it's Senior Day for the Trojans, who will honor Alex Stepheson, Marcus Simmons, Donte Smith, and James Dunleavy before the game. USC lost last season on Senior Day to Oregon State, snapping a 13-game Senior Day winning streak. USC leads the conference in points allowed, at 62.8 per game, and is 11-0 when holding their opponent under 60 points.

The Sun Devils are in last place in the Pac-10 at 2-13. They began their season 7-4, but has lost 13 of their last 16 games. They had a nine-game losing streak snapped a week ago against Washington State. Trent Lockett (13.6 points per game) and Ty Abbott (12.6 points per contest) are the only Arizona State players to average double figures in scoring this season.

USC (16-12, 8-7)

Today's 4:30 p.m. PST game will be broadcast on Prime Ticket. Paul Sunderland, former Trojan point guard Brandon Granville, and Nischelle Turner are on the call. USC is 11-4 at home this season, and Arizona St is 2-9 on the road.
