Conner Teahan scored seven points, leading the No. 12 Kansas Jayhawks to a 25-13 lead at halftime over the USC Trojans at Galen Center in Los Angeles. It was an ugly first half for both teams, but especially for the Trojans, who shot 22.7% (five for 22) and committed 13 turnovers.
That's right, the Trojans had as many turnovers as points in the first half. The Pac-12 Conference is 0-10 against team ranked in the Associated Press top 25 this season.
USC took a 7-4 lead over Kansas with 13:43 remaining, but the Jayhawks went on a 21-6 run to end the half to build their lead. The only reason it wasn't a bigger lead is that Kansas only shot 33.3% (nine for 27) themselves. Byron Wesley had seven rebounds in the first half for the Trojans, just one shy of his single-game high.
