USC Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley ended his junior season in style on Saturday night, tossing six touchdowns and throwing for 423 yards in the Trojans' 50-0 victory over the UCLA Bruins. As a result, Barkley was named on Monday the Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week. It is the fourth time Barkley has won the award this season.
Barkley tied his own school record for touchdown passes in a game, set earlier this season against Colorado. He broke Matt Leinart's school and Pac-12 record for touchdown passes in a season with 39, and his 69.1% completion percentage set a new USC record, surpassing Rob Johnson's 68.6% mark in 1993.
USC has captured six of the 14 offensive player of the week awards for the conference.
